Between the Ghaba and Fahud Salt Basins in Oman, proven reserves are in the range of 8 billion barrels of oil, with additional potential identified in the magnitude of 6.3 billion barrels of oil. The known geology of the Officer Basin appears similar to that of these two salt basins.
