Rodinia is the name of the ancient super-continent, which was formed over one billion years ago and around whose shores complex life first evolved towards the end of Precambrian time. During that time, the geological basins now found in Siberia, Oman and Australia were formed and eventually broke away from the super-continent. In the Siberian and Arabian basins, massive oil and gas deposits have already been discovered. These areas have huge oil production and substantial oil reserves.  Rodinia is exploring for similar deposits in Australia.

Rodinia relies on equity financing and farm-in participation to support its capital expenditure program in Australia.
